With Christmas slowly approaching and sales popping up I like to get my shopping done early. I do not like to leave it to the last minute like my cotton-headed ninny muggins of a family. Last Christmas was Jade’s first Christmas and I went crazy overboard on the gifts, one could say I got my tinsel in a twist stressing about gifts. This Christmas I am sticking to four rules.
- Something she wants
- Something she needs
- Something to wear
- Something to read
Since Jade is still young she can not tell me what she wants. I picked her out an adorable hand made stuffed animal from Fawn&Faye. The owner is so talented making these sweet little creatures and she donates 15% of each sale to Children’s Cancer Research.
For something, she needs she would probably tell me a puppy which I completely agree but Quinn would not. For now, we will stick to a backpack for daycare.
Something to wear is my favorite part! I love dressing Jade but I always tend to go overboard. My favorite stores to shop at are
If you can I highly suggest you shop small this Christmas. The quality is always amazing and you get the satisfaction of helping out a fellow human.
I am so happy lately Jade has been finally getting into books. I have always loved reading since I was a kid which made me so excited to read Jade my favorite stories. With Christmas coming up I ordered her some Christmas themed books that I have linked on my Amazon Storefront. I do suggest ordering them off of Amazon since it is generally a better price but you can also find these books at Indigo too!
- Pick A Pine Tree
- Finding Christmas
- How The Grinch Stole Christmas!
- The Night Before Christmas
- The Crayons Christmas
Sticking to these four rules can help keep the Christmas craziness to a minimum and keep the gifts to the minimum. After all, Christmas is about being with your loved ones!
